Discovery and Transformation[UmbreonEcho and Luna]

The sky was clear and the scattered clouds allowed the sun to warm up the soft sand of Beechleaf Town. No wind blew at the moment, but the air was cool and calm, giving the beach a very peaceful mood. Being mid-day, no one would expect anything super weird, but ironically, the strangest discoveries can happen when one least expected it.

Today was one of those days, where one, fated discovery would change the fate of the world. Salty waves rolled and splashed up on the sand, but just out of the water's reach, for the tide had just fallen, lay a young girl unconscious. With the ears and tails of a Vulpix, she wasn't from around the area. But neither did she expect what discovery she would make when she would finally wake from her year long transformation in Team Kuro's lab. She was wearing a black cloak with white shorts and black knee socks matching the cloak and brown boots and a red belt. Her hair, which was drying quickly under the warm sun was midnight black and it reached all the way down to her lower back. She was lying on her side, and her six tails were sprawled randomly across the sand.

Shizuka's mind was blank; not a single thought within. The last thing she ever remembered was being knocked out by a gang of people called Team Kuro. But whatever caused her to end up here at least seemed to lighten up her mind from the deepest of unconsciousness, for any moment now, she would awaken to discover something she never dreamed would happen.

"So You think we'll find that girl Kirara," Sora (A.K.A Echo) asked his loyal Espeon while day dreaming Shizuka although not knowing the girls name. " This is the first time you've been in love hasn't it Sora?" Sora paused at the thought "I wouldn't say love yet it's too soon to say anything she might be uptight Sora chuckled at the thought. "I saw how you looked at her and I know she's the reason you left Team Kuro" Kilala spoke as a matter-of-factly to Sora. Sniffing the air Sora smelled a delightful scent. "I bet that's her" Sora said noticing the girl with the Vulpix-like tail and walking over to Shizuka he sat down and poked her. "You up sleepy head?" Sora sat down and waited for Shizuka to wake up.

Connor walked along a small path. His growlith Ember walking beside him. They where quit not speaking a word between the two of them. Suddenly Conner heard voices in the distance and froze. He listened closely. After several slow seconds he realized one of the voices he was hearing was a pokemon. The other sounded human. Was it possible a human could speak to a pokemon? With a low growl he motioned for Ember to fallow him. He leaped into a tree with out a sound and jumped from tree to tree until there where no more trees. Crouching down in the branch he watched in amazement as a poke'morph walked up to another poke'morph. How was it possible. He thought he was one of a kind. What was going on here?

Preferring to talk in the growlith manner he gave out a few rapid barks and growls before leaping down from the tree and landing in a crouch on the ground. "Who are you, what made you, where do you come from?" He remained by the lone tree ready to bolt.

[Shizuka]

"You up sleepy head?" Shizuka thought she heard someone say. The voice sounded familiar, but her mind was clouded as is, and she couldn't bring herself to remember. Shizuka slowly opened up her eyes and saw a kid about her age crouched beside her. Shizuka blinked in the bright sunlight. Her limbs felt stiff, but she would never guess it was from being unconscious for a whole year during her transformation in Team Kuro's lab. Finally her vision cleared and she could see that this guy had...Wait, could those be...Umbreon ears!? Shizuka gasped and jumped back, but tripped on one of her Vulpix tails. "Ah, what is that!? Did I trip on a Vulpix?" She gaped in wonder at the Vulpix tails, and worried that she fell on a Vulpix, but as she stood up, she realized with utter surprise that they were her Vulpix tails! "Kyaah they're...attatched to me!" Shizuka shrieked in surprise. Then she saw that the guy in front of her had an Umbreon tail too. Shizuka reached up and touched her Vulpix ears too, and she found that she could twitch her Vulpix ears too. Hardly able to believe this was not a dream, she wondered aloud. "What on earth happened to me?"

Seeing the Umbreon guy more closely, she realized that he looked familiar too! That's it! He was that weird guy who people called Echo with the Umbreon ears and tail, and he was working for Team Kuro! Shizuka realized. She backed away slowly from Sora, her eyes narrowed suspiciously. Was he the one that turned her halfway into a pokemon? "You..." She said, pointing at Sora. "You're that Echo guy that was working with Team Kuro! Do you know why I've been turned halfway into a Vulpix!?" she demanded. "Please tell me!"

Shizuka turned as someone suddenly said "Who are you, what made you, where do you come from?" Shizuka at first didn't know what to say, since she was waiting for Sora to answer her. "Uh, me?" she asked, pointing to herself. "But before that, who are you??" She wasn't about to go about giving everyone her name until she found out who this person was. He didn't have any pokemon ears or tails, and he had a growlithe at his side. What in the world is going on? she wondered.

Sora looked over to the vulpix pokemorph, "I just came from Team Kuro, I was the first one of these things called Pokemorphs, I volunteered to them since a Team Kuro member took me in when the orphanage I lived in burned down. I went to the extreme after that and asked to become one of these things out of my free will and it wasn't that bad out of free will except one of my legs stopped growing, which is the reason for this staff. I know you'll hate me for saying this but the reason I left Team Kuro, was you." Slightly shy around her Sora said all of this quietly but loud enough for her to hear. "My name Is actually Sora, and you've been turned into this thing because of their experiments. It's not half bad though you can talk to your Pokemon when you get lonely" Sora added the last sentence glumly because he was lonely for most of his time with Team Kuro.

Turning to the boy who barked at them earlier, Sora replied, " Before you bark at others ask them their name," Sora added irritably because Connor barked at Shizuka, " My name is Sora, I am an Umbreon Pokemorph, the first one made. A scientist made me she seemed resistant to do it though so I hope I can help her one day, and I come from Team Kuro who took me in when the orphanage I lived in burned down, but they were the same ones to burn it down."

Conner growled showing his unusually sharp teeth. After all being a Growlith poke'morph he had a few traits that Growlith's have. A had covered his ears and he was sure the two couldn't see his tail. He watched and waited for them to reply. When he did he let out an actual growl. "I don't care what your names are. I want to know what you are and where you came from. So I can figure out how the heck I was changed." He lowered his hood and his growlith ears could be easily seen.

Ember growled and padded forward. "Tell us now. We both need to know." Ember and Connor had bean together for a long time he knew that much. But they could remember nothing past the six months ago when they woke up both badly injured in the meadow.


Notes: For future notice Connor is a Growlith Poke'morph.

[Night]

Kaitlynn walked down on the path to the beach, her nervousness clearly showing. She had finally made it to Beechleaf town, and was supposed to go get her starter Pokemon. Today was supposed to be the first day of her journey as a Pokemon trainer. But she was too nervous! Her stomach churned uneasily, and Kaitlynn sighed. She was too nervous, and figured that she should calm herself down a bit. Walking slowly, she suddenly heard voices ahead. Kaitlynn couldn't help herself, and continued forward until she could see people up ahead with their Pokemon. She stopped short, though, because these people were different. MUCH different. The one closest to her had Growlith ears and a tail, and had a Growlith right next to him. The boy a little further had Umbreon ears, though she couldn't see his tail from the angle she was at. And the girl furthest away had, what looked to be, Vulpix ears, and she could see a couple of her tails. Kaitlynn's eyes were wide in surprise, but she wasn't scared. They were talking, but since she figured it was none of her business, Kaitlynn started backing away slowly. Suddenly she tripped on a rock, and was sent tumbling down the small slope until she crashed into the water. She screamed because of the cold and flailed out of the water, gasping for air out of fear. Drenched, she slowly looked at the others around her with a small, scared grin on her face. "I-I'm sorry!" Kaitlynn squeaked, and tried to get up. I hope I haven't made them angry... She told herself.

[Shizuka]

Well that actually explained a lot. Shizuka had no other option anyway than to just believe what Umbreon boy was saying. "What reason should that give me to ever hate you?" Shizuka wondered. "But I guess that explains a lot about what has happened to me..." Shizuka wondered what, though, Sora meant by "...the reason I left Team Kuro, was you." She had never really met Sora before, only saw him with Team Kuro. But it seemed that Team Kuro was up to no good, whatever it was that they were working on, that they might use humans and pokemon in their experiments. Whatever Sora meant by what he said, she was glad that he wasn't working with Team Kuro anymore. Now, having had a moment to understand Sora more, she was beginning to think he was really a nice person.

Turning now to face Connor, whom she realized, after the younger boy took off his hat and revealed his tail, that he was a growlithe Pokemorph. "I am Shizuka Mikudo." Shizuka introduced herself. "I used to be a trainer before Team Kuro turned me into a Pokemorph."

Now noticing a new person, she saw that the girl didn't have ears and a tail of a pokemon. This was a real human!

" Like I said my name is Sora, I am an Umbreon Pokemorph, the first one made. A scientist made me she seemed resistant to do it though so I hope I can help her one day, and I come from Team Kuro who took me in when the orphanage I lived in burned down, but they were the same ones to burn it down." Upon hearing Shizuka's name Sora ran it through his head wishing for it to never go away, since it came from the cute Vulpix Pokemorph.

Upon seeing a real human falling into the water Sora Laughed, "It's okay we won't hurt you."

Connor approached the others carefully. He couldn't help but think it was all just a dream. How could it be possible that he would stumble upon two others like himself? Was it a trap? "I'm Connor and this is Ember." Hearing about Team Kuro he wondered if they where the ones that turned him. Connor hated that he remembered nothing about his past. He felt an emptiness inside his heart like he missed someone but he couldn't remember who. Heck he didn't know anything when he woke up on that field six months ago accept that he had bean hurt bad and he knew his name and Embers who was lying next to him and had also bean hurt badly. They had both spent several months in the hospital getting severe burns, broken bones and cuts treated. They where one hundred percent again thankfully and had left the hospital only a week ago. Hearing the steps of someone else and the sent of a human reached him. He quickly pulled his hoodie back up but there was nothing he could do about his tail.

"Maybe you guys can help me. I woke up six months ago in the middle of a field badly injured. Me and Ember both where sent to a hospital. Only thing is besides our names we have no idea who we are or where we came from. And I can't help feeling like there is a hole in my heart. I miss someone but I don't know who." Connor ignored the human of course he wouldn't hurt her. He would protect her from the others if he had to. He couldn't remember when but he was sure he had bean human once upon a time.

[Night]

Kaitlynn sat for a while, and listened to what the others were saying. Pokemorph? What are they talking about? She asked herself, standing up. Her clothes were dripping, but she didn't care. She had extra clothes at her aunt's house. The girl and the boy with Growlithe ears seemed to ignore her, but the boy with Umbreon ears turned to her. "It's okay we won't hurt you." He laughed. Kaitlynn blushed, her eyes going wide. Had he read her mind or something? She quickly recovered as the others talked, and squeezed a little water out of her clothes. She listened curiously as the others talked. Who was team Kuro, and why did they make these people into Pokemorphs? Finally gathering the courage, she spoke up. "I-I know that it's none of my business, b-but I would like to help..." Kaitlynn said nervously, looking down at her feet. It was in her kind nature to help people she didn't even know, and Kaitlynn would help anyone if she could. Realizing that she probably sounded really dumb, she looked up at the others, her cheeks turning red in embarrassment.

[Shizuka]

Shizuka understood Sora's reasons for leaving Team Kuro now. Whatever Team Kuro was planning, she knew that it would not be good. Team Kuro had to be stopped. They shouldn't have any right to do this to people and pokemon...However, Shizuka wondered if, in the end, she really would want to turn back into a normal human. Yes, in the beginning, she had come here to Kyuuka to challenge the Kyuuka league and all the gyms, but how could a pokemorph be a trainer?

Was she technically a pokemon, or a human? In Shizuka's mind, she was a human. But physically, she was part pokemon..."It's okay we won't hurt you." She heard Sora assuring the human girl that just fell into the water. "Are you alright?" Shizuka asked, concerned that the human girl might've injured herself. She returned her focus to the growlithe boy as he stepped forward. "I'm Connor and this is Ember. Maybe you guys can help me. I woke up six months ago in the middle of a field badly injured. Me and Ember both where sent to a hospital. Only thing is besides our names we have no idea who we are or where we came from. And I can't help feeling like there is a hole in my heart. I miss someone but I don't know who."

Shizuka nodded her head and bowed, slightly, like the Japanese custom. "Nice to meet you too, Connor and Ember." Finally the human girl spoke up nervously. "I-I know that it's none of my business, b-but I would like to help..." Shizuka blinked her brown eyes, and flicked her Vulpix ears thoughtfully. "Um...what is your name?" She asked the human girl, trying not to surprise her, even though she herself was still not calmed down from her recent awakening.

Sora blushed when he saw Shizuka bow, he had the utmost respect for the Japanese culture and it only made him like the Vulpix pokemorph even more, getting lost he remembered the human's words who were unfortunately lost for a minute "I-I know that it's none of my business, b-but I would like to help..." "I don't think there can be any help for us but it would be great to have another friend." he smiled looking at everyone

[Stern]

Connor wondered why she had dipped her head to him, but didn't want to ask, because it might make him appear uneducated. He continued to ignore the human girl, because she wouldn't be able to do anything to help him. She was a human, a puny human, one that probably didn't know what was going on. She didn't even have a Pokemon that he could see, although that could be hidden under her shirt. His ear flickered as Sora said that there wasn't any help for them. Even though he had accepted the fact, it hurt to hear it admitted.
