Beka looked at the large, crystal clear lake that spread out in front of her, "We're here!" She wanted to sprint down to the water with her Pokemon, but first she would have to set up the picnic blanket and the food that she had carried in her back. All three of the travelers had carried part of the preparations for this day off from training, and they had all shared the load. With a smile, Beka slung her blue pack off of her shoulder and started unbuckling and loosening the many complicated strings. Backpacks, good backpacks, were so infuriating to open. But with practice, it got less time-consuming, and more useful. After all, those same annoying straps would be where she could hang stuff to dry from later on. With a smile, she gestured her Pokemon to the lake, "Go have fun, guys. We'll set up the food, you guys can have a break." She finally found the checkered picnic blanket that she had been looking for and snapped it out, laying it deftly on a soft patch of sand. She loved it up here in the mountains, and was so glad that the boys had been up for a hike.

"Come on, Eve, hurry up! We have so much to do, so little time! Pick up the pace!"
A thin figure, so skinny you could easily count all of their rib bones, staggered at swift paces across the mountainous area, their old and worn tennis shoes, to large for the feet stuck inside, flopping loudly against the ground. By his side, a tiny little Eevee was visibly sweating, trying to keep pace with it's master. The figure, hjowever, was completely oblivious to the brown creature's condition and pressed onward. But the tin shape was... odd. Two, large and pointy ears pooked from the top of their head, and a tail sprung from the top of their white and black shorts. A peculiar sight to say the least, as someone like this was all but rare in the region in whiched the Eevee trainer lived... And a site of such a thing was to instantly throw the person watching into defensive mode.
Aslander had no clue what he was doing here. A lazy old boy, to say the least, very few things could convince him to even get off his lazy bum and do anything at all. But there was one-fourth of the time in which almost anything could egg him to do something. Of course, this had it's own bad setbacks, as he was kind of impatient and full of all that stored energy. When he had started out, that morning, preparing for a long journey to the Proffessor's home in hopes of a new Pokemon to truely begin his journey, he had felt himself being drawn to... well, whatever was up ahead. And boy, was he excited to get there and see what he would find. Unfortunately, Eve, the brown colored Eevee beside him, was not so joyous. She was panting heavily and was steadily falling behind her owner.
Finally, the rushed trainer took notice of his pained Pokemon and gradually slowed his pace. He was almost to a stop when the duel colored Pokemon collapsed to the ground, exhausted. Making an abrupt hault, he turned, scooped up the Eevee, turned back around, and pressed onward in one, simple movement. He was light on his feet, that, for one, was certain. A smile tugged on his lips as the Eevee's fur dusted gentley against his skin. "'Bout time..." she growled, not bothering to open her eyes. A laugh escaped his mouth before he could stop it from coming out. Yes, he could understand his Eevee. And it wasn't from being partners for so long, oh no. those silly little rumors that trainers could understand their companions after spending so much time with them. The only people who could truely understand the secondary race was someone who shared part of their mind... A gijinka. And that was exactly what he was.
Yes, those ears, tail, and unseen neck fur were all caused from DNA from that very species.
An Eevee gijinka.
His smile, however, began to fade at the thought and his eagerness was swiftly replaced with anger. It was all their fault! If he'd never gone with that woman, he wouldn't be here now! It was all their fault... All their fault... All their- "Cut it out! Your hurting me!" The tight grip the trainer had held on his only Pokemon loosened at her command. "Sorry..." was all he could manage as a responce. It was true, though. After he escaped with his now dead sister, the gijinka had been veiwed a monster instead of the straving boy that he was. Not one of the people he'd known so well as a child even gave him the tiniest peice of food or drink. Even his own family, the people who were supposed to provide his only safehouse, had disowned him.
He was a monster...
He pondered aloud, "I wonder if I'll ever meet someone else like me..."
"Unlikely. You're probably the only freak of your kind," Eve hissed smuggly. Typical. She was always like this. With that comment, she received a sharp jab in the side. "Hey! What was that for?" Tiny fangs dug sharply into the exposed flesh on his hand and a yip of pain escaped his lips. the Pokemon was toosed carelessly onto the grassy ground.
"Oh, yes, that makes me feel so much better."
"Then my job here is done," she meowed, matter-of-factly, a small tongue cleaning the dirtied areas on her pelt. "And I don't appreciate being dropped on the ground, either."
But both comments didn't register to the young, brown haired boy. Petite hands tugged on the bottom of the too-big, pure white hoody that he used to conceil his Eevee... parts. "But you don't understand, Eve. I wasn't the only one there at the time. There were more kids, more children, that were kidnapped by... whoever kidnapped us. And I'm sure that they didn't just bring them there for a tea party..."
"Oh, I like tea."
"That's not the point! Don't you see? There might be-" the young gijinka's words were cut off abruptly at the site of something off in the distance. Well, you wouldn't exactly call it the distance. It was quite a few yards away from where the boy and his Eevee stood, but he guessed that, if he ran, he'd be there in no time flat. Three people. Having a picnic. Food. Food! "Eve!" he shouted, picking up the tiny Pokemon and shaking it almost violently. "Eve, look! A picnic! Food! Food!"
If she said something in responce, he paid no intention to whatever she had to say to him. Instead, tucking her under his arm much like a football player would hold a football, he mad a dash for the people downhill. A couple of comments from the dog - or was it cat? - like creature barely registered in his mind, as most of them were something along the lines of 'put me down, furball!, as he continued to run as fast as his longer legs would carry him. Yes! This was certainly his lucky break... And, as he approached the group, he made no attempt to explain his presence. He didn't even bother to cover up his ears or tail. Instead, he bounced around in overly excited patterns and probably left them all staring at him with strange looks.
"Food! Food! Oh, happy days, happy days! I never expected to find such a luxury as this in such a barren place!" Thrusting the female's hands in his own, he shook it up and down in a similar fashion to the way he'd shaken his Pokemon earlier. "Thank you, um... What's your name? I deticate all my future success to you and the food you have bestowed upon me!"

Josiah was swimming in the lake his Celebi swimming around him. The two had become best friends. His other pokemon Destiny stood on the beach not wanting to get wet. Josiah laughed as the two dove down into the water. When they emerged moments later he saw a boy barreling down the hill. His eyes widened in fear. But he was to far out to do anything. And he was sure Beka and Connor wouldn't hear him. Turning to Myst he frowned. "We need to get to the others they may be in danger."
Myst nodded and using her psychic like powers the two floated out of the water and went flying towards the beech. They landed as the boy reached Beka and Connor.
Connor's ears twitched at the sound of running feet. He whipped around growling. He whistled and a brilliant blue bird came flying from the clouds. "Arctic his Articuno had finally hatched a few days ago. "But when the boy began dancing and shouting food he noticed he had eevee ears just like Beka and Josiah.
