Rio had heard of a pokemon that was like his dream come true. It was suppose to live in urban areas so he had begun his search in any city he was in. He had heard it was originally created from computer data, in other words, man-made. It didn't suprise him to find that people were now creating pokemon thanks to how how far technology has developed. Like an obsessed kid, he turned over every library he could find to gather information on it. Its name; Porygon. A normal type but Rio didn't mind after looking up its abilities and move set. He had wrote down all the information on a note-pad, pulling it from its place in the bag on his hip. He began to reread the information.

As he read down the long list of seemingly jibberish to any but him or a breeder, Rio began to search his bag for the small radio that he always had on him. Once he found it he brought it up out of his bag and for a quick second Rio fiddled with it before putting it back in its place on his side. Headphones cuddled his neck and began to vibrate as the radio connected and played its music. Rio put the headphones over his ears; an orchestra sung. His eyes kept their steady pace on the small piece of parchment. Every detail was important, even in the long run. The information built like puzzle blocks in his mind and soon enough he had ideas ranging from common sense to complicated details.
Since porygon could travel through data Rio would travel to the nearest place with a computer of some sort. He traveled from building to building, searching each of the computers with his computer freakness. Rio even went to the trading center and pokemon center. No sign. Feeling a bit depressed Rio moved on into an alley to begin his check of the old, practically broken software. Each time he found one he would attatch it to his multi-purpose radio. He qould click a button on the small thing and it would ever so steadily rearrange itself as a miniature laptop. At times like these he was glad to be a rich boy.
Rio traveled from alley to alley, even searching in the dumpster before coming back to the alleys. Again he found an old computer sitting against the end of yet another alley. Though this time Rio wasn't willing to pick up yet another computer and drag to some place with energy. Instead this time he merely opened it up. What he was searching for was easy enough to find. The memory card. It was the best place to start looking. The chip slid easily into the analyzer, a nickname for the two glowing halos created by the radio to analyze information from any type of computer memory. CArefully he analyzed the small-written data transferred to his radio-laptop. For a moment he was going to give up, but he found something interesting in the worn information.

Nymah walked in the shadows, her black cloak successfully concealing her figure from her quarry. She had been following a boy of thirteen or so around for most of the day now, after Cobalion had told her about him. It seemed that he was a Ranger, which meant he was an enemy, but not as bad as a trainer. Perhaps he could be convinced to help her cause. Of course, Rangers wanted to help Pokemon, right? So, this would be something that she could twist around to get him to help her. Youth was the easiest to turn to a new cause, especially if it sounded just like their ideals. Of course, methods might be different, but he would come to see that some of those methods were just for the good of the Pokemon.
He had money, that much was obvious. He was always toying around with some kind of gadget, one Ny had seen only in the Team’s laboratories. She didn’t need anything too technical, not when she was out in the field. She preferred the old methods, of relying on her Pokemon. Of course, she had to carry around her communications stuff, but that was because she couldn’t go incommunicado anymore. Too bad, but it was a small price to pay.
Now he was fiddling with some computer, analyzing something he had taken out of an old junk heap. He seemed to find something interesting, because he didn’t throw the thing away in disgust as he had done so many times before. As a precaution that he couldn’t get away, Ny rolled Oren’s Pokeball towards the mouth of the ally. It would roll out of sight before releasing the Lucario, a trick she had used many times before when she wasn’t sure if she would be able to catch her quarry with words alone. However, the Pokeball hit a bump in the road, much too soon, and sprang open, releasing the blue Pokemon inside with a flash of light.
Thinking quickly, Ny stepped deeper into the shadows, pulling the cowl of her cloak closer to her. Oren had been with her so long, he knew what she wanted him to do without the need for speech, and they would use that now.

Rio had the feeling he was being followed ever since he entered the city but with everyone dressing up and looking almost the same he couldn't tell. It didn't help that this place was where ghost pokemon resided so he just moved cautiously. Every once in a while, he would make it to a corner where he could look behind him inconspicuously. Everytime he saw the same, or at least looked the same, cloaked figure hiding in the shadows. Rio was almost positive that the stranger was following him. While he searched around he specifically went to less populated areas and evertime the stranger would hide in the shadows. Unfortunately Rio couldn't tell if it was a girl or a boy thanks to the distance and angles he kept getting.
But that finally changed when he had found the interesting bit of memory. He could hear its footsteps, light like a girl or a very light boy. He automatically assumed it to be a girl. Just before he could speak he saw from the corner of his eye a flash of light. A battle? He didn't know, didn't really care. He kept his eyes on the information as he stood and turned around to the figure of a lucario just released from its ball. The figure had concealed herself deeper into the shadows. With one hand up in a stop position he said, Wait just one moment now. He finally raised his eyes from the information. I would rather not fight against a lady if possible. He looked at the shadowed figure while keeping the lucario visible at the corner of his eye. The only friendly introduction he gave the cloaked figure was a light bow before returning to the passive pose he had before.
He had no pokemon to protect him so he had no way of fighting off the lucario if it attacked. Although he didn't look, his fingers kept their steady pace on the keyboard, the radio-laptop still reading through the information. If he found a porygon the gadget would stop its search and find a way to bring it out but until then all he had were words to protect him. Now, what would you need fair lady? I can not believe you would follow me for so long without some reason too. then with a little fake sigh he added, It must've been boring, just watching me fiddle with my contraptions all day.
Rio kept his steady gaze on the cloaked figure, but all his attention was on the lucario who seemed poised and ready to strike. Something to keep me from escaping I suppose, or maybe its just here to knock me unconscious so that I might be taken away somewhere. He shrugged at his ideas.

Ny smiled grimly into her cloak as he held a hand up for her to stop. He didn’t want to fight a lady, eh? Well, she didn’t want it to come to a fight, of course. As he bowed slightly to her, she wondered at his nerve. However, he didn’t seem to be a threat, so she would let him be for a while. They could talk, or he could talk. She wouldn’t say much about herself. “If it comes to a fight or not is up to you, boy.” She called him a boy sneeringly, wanting to test how he would react.
With that, she glanced over at Lucario, nodding slightly. He walked to the side of the alley and leaned against it, a guard rather than a threat. “My reasons are my own. All you need to know is that our purposes are similar, and if you wished, we could work together to achieve our goals.” Her shoulders shrugged, making the cloak rise and fall slightly, “Patience is a virtue too many people these days know nothing of.”

Rio noted the aggresion in the girl's voice, now certain that the figure was indeed a girl. Although he heard the threat in her voice but Rio did nothing about it. He just stood there calmly, after all it would be best not to get on her bad side when he had nothing to protect himself with except for a few pieces of useless junk. He didn't smile but rather gave a little grim at the cloaked girl. Rio watched as the lucario leaned against the wall, Who could've guessed, a guard. His gaze returned to the girl, You say our goals are similar, how so? He would've asked her name but feeling that she'd probably not talk about herself Rio only asked the meaningfull questions. And if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions, such as what kind of work do you do? He gave her tone that made him sound interested when he really wasn't.
His fingers never stopped their search until there was a small vibration in the computer. He'd found something but he didn't dare look down to see what. Instead he pressed a button that would draw out what ever it might be, if it was data it would be copied into his radio-laptop, if it was the pokemon he was searching for then it either be transfered to his laptop-radio, or even in the best case it would come out. At the moment he wished he had his partner pokemon but the idea was banished when the thought of the idea that this strange lady would want to steal his pokemon. She gave off that feeling that she was one of those types of people. Then again it wouldn't be theft unless the pokemon had literally belonged to him but as a ranger, no pokemon belongs to you, rather you belong to the pokemon. Rio let out a soft chuckle at the little idea.

Ny raised an eyebrow. He was a pacifist, that much was certain. He ignored her comment, interesting. "You, as a Ranger, understand Pokemon better than most people. You work with them, not catching, but asking help of them when you need it." She took a breath as she wondered about how to proceed, "I am working on getting Pokemon trainers to understand what they do to their Pokemon when they catch them without thinking." She ignored his question about her work, thinking that he was trying to catch her unaware. Well, too bad for him. She was no novice at this game, "In fact, I do mind, but we'll pretend that I did not hear your rude question." She sighed quietly, the youth these days. Was this how Lorelei felt?
Porygon had been floating through the data banks when suddenly a signal pulled him towards an old alley. He allowed himself to go with the flow, until he landed by a boy, materializing right under a small hand held computer. "Pory... Pory-gon?!"

Rio listened to the shadowed girl speak. Though one could hardly say she was a girl to him, it was obvious that she was older, though by the sound of her voice, not by much; at least not in his standards. Rio wanted to question this lady's methods of how she 'tried to make trainers understand' but thankfully he was able to hold it in. He could already guess all too well how her methods were. It didn't make it much better when she refused to answer his question as well. He made a mental sigh before noting how she was diverting away from his question. I am sorry, I meant no disrespect. I was merely curious. Rio answered coolly. It wasn't long after he said that when the little porygon appeared from out of his little radio-laptop. Silently he looked down at it, inside he was just about ready celebrate after all the very pokemon he had been searching for was finally right next to him. The porygon was smaller than he had expected but then again he had never seen an actual porygon before.
Rio didn't say a word but rather silently typed against his keyboard, Please friend, would you mind helping me out? I find myself in a bit of a bind at the moment though if you wish to escape, feel free to go back into my device. The little message read. If the porygon wanted to it could easily read the message from where the boy held his device, carefully angling it away from the lucario and his mistress but turned enough for the porygon to see. Whats better is that he did all of this extremly casually. Though this may be yet another annoying question to you, I would like to know why it is you would find me an asset to you? He pulled a little at his clothing, Many wouldn't consider letting a boy to work for them. It was ironic how he could use that same word against its very user.

Ny grinned into her cloak. Merely curious, my foot. He was trying to find out what to use against me but he will not succeed with the direct approach. She watched him carefully, her eyes tracking his fingers as he continued typing in his machine. Whatever, she would figure it out later, if he decided to work with her. He wanted to know how he might be an asset to her and her cause? Well, that she could tell him, if he really wished to know. Of course, he probably didn’t need to know the right answer, that any ranger would be a great foothold into the realm and the hearts of the people. She didn’t miss his sneer on the word she had used earlier to slight him, but she was prepared for that. Placing her words carefully, as if they were dominoes in a long line of reactions, she spoke again, “Children are often overlooked in this world, sadly. Overlooked, but listened to, with at least half an ear. As you know how to work without Pokemon without catching them and destroying their lives, you would be good to speak to the people. You may not know about the wild Pokemon as much as you should, but you do know something, and the rest can be taught.”
The Porygon watched the keyboard and the flashing screen carefully, working out the words. This boy seemed quite respectful, at least at the moment. Nothing could be harmed by helping out a little bit, could it? The lady in black in the shadows did have a dangerous flair around her, and that Lucario definitely wasn’t just there for decoration. The Polygon used its sense of the computer to make a message flash onto the screen, a message that simply read, I will help you unless you prove that you are unworthy of my help.

Rio had to admit, this lady was being truly stubborn about how she answered his questions, well that or she could just be cautious. It was obvious enough that he wasn't going to get any real answers if he kept his direct route. He wanted to sigh but he held his composure. If this lady wanted him there could only be one real reason why. He was a ranger, though most people except for the rangers themselves knew that he was second-in-command. He couldn't really blame those who didn't know how important he really was and he doubted that she knew just who she was dealing with. Though it did make sense and if she could somehow persuade him; which was not going to happen; she would have a foothold in the realm, the people, and even against the rangers.
Rio listened to her words with careful calculations. She was trying to play him. Sweet words that could fool any normal child. He was normal, in ways but he did not think like a child. She even offered to help him understand pokemon more. That he was interested, but unfortunatly he couldn't trust someone who held a guard. He let out a little sigh, I'm glad to hear that someone else other than a ranger realizes that a captured pokemon is taking them away from their real families. He said smoothly, You say the rest can be taught, but would you be willing to teach someone like me? I would be truly grateful to know if what you say is truth and there is much more for me to learn. His words were smooth and seemed to fill with the emotion of truly wanting to learn. But... His voice turned sharp, If you merely wished me to help you return pokemon to their families why must you take such, precautions? He said, his eyes staying on her but even she could tell what he meant.
The answer from the pokemon made Rio glad but first he wanted to be rid of the lucario so that it wouldn't attack the porygon. Thank you friend, but for now just wait for my signal. That lucario looks strong and I don't want you to get into a conflict with it. Rio typed his message with agile fingers. He hoped the porygon would agree with waiting.
